Torn & Restored Pictures is a dynamic multi-media production company on the forefront of creating high quality genre films for wide release.
The Company is run by enterprising Director/Cinematographer and CEO Ben Burke with a team possessing a rich background in both independent and major studio platforms. The Company has produced the award winning short film “The Last Session” along with it’s first three feature films, “Nobody in Particular” and “Our Way” due to be released in 2014 and the recently shot revenge thriller “Let it Bleed”.
T&R Creative is the autonomous division of Torn & Restored Pictures founded in 2013 focusing on co-productions, allowing producers a well versed comprehensive viewpoint on how best and most cost effectively to create and market micro budget media and film content.
Filmmakers and producers have found the Company innovative and agile in today’s ever-evolving and competitive industry. T&R Creative houses camera, lighting, and sound equipment along with marketing, post production, and legal, allowing filmmakers a high level of creative freedom while at the same time being provided with first-class marketing and production resources to maximize the potential of each film.
Originally formed in 2005 by Ben Burke to produce experimental and short form projects as part of a film making co-operative, the Company co-produced over 25 films in less then three years. The name of the company is a reference to magic and sleight of hand, as well as the function of the dramatic narrative.
In 2011, shortly after making his Directorial debut with the acclaimed Crime/Thriller NOBODY IN PARTICULAR, Burke partnered with entertainment and corporate attorney Doug Shoemaker and producer/marketing executive Sean McCarthy to reinvent the company with an eye on the international market for feature and broadcast content.
In 2012, produced the award winning short film THE LAST SESSION starring Teri Polo (Meet the Parents) and John De Lancie (Breaking Bad, Stark Trek NG, DS9, and Voyager). The same year, working with Australian based filmmaker Adam Lynton, Ben Burke Executive Produced the feature film HEALING THE STUPID, starring Kelly Thiebaud (Hostel 3, Days of our Lives, General Hospital) taking the international production company along with part of the cast and crew from Los Angeles to shoot in his hometown of Lexington, Kentucky.
In 2013, produced their 2nd international production, the Horror/Thriller OUR WAY with Haitian filmmaker Romane Simon. The Company also co-produced various other projects including A SONG FOR MANZANAR, a Japanese language short film set in the 1940’s from writer/director Phil Beauman (Scary movie) and Producer Kazuko Golden (from Columbia College of Chicago film)
In 2014 and beyond, wrapped the feature film LET IT BLEED in March, 2014 and is currently in production of the short horror/comedy PARTY SLASHERS with the talented writer/director Carl Bachmann (Miracle on Metal Street)
Torn & Restored Pictures is dedicated to the art, history, business and craft of film. The company intends to continue developing strong and endearing relationships within the international film industry with a seasoned approach to production logistics and an expanding slate of quality projects for the worldwide market.
